has been recovering from his original injury since early December, until last week, when he regained his fitness and returned to full training at Carrington.

Luke Shaw is said to have suffered yet another setback in his attempted recovery from injury — but it seems the problem is not as bad as initially feared.

The left-back has played three times in the Premier League in the past 14 months and only managed three substitute appearances under Ruben Amorim before sustaining a fresh injury blow in December.

This season, the former Southampton youth player has only played 3 times for Man United, never starting, with the most recent being as a substitute in the win over Everton on December 1.

The last time Shaw started an official match was when he played for England in the Euro final in July.
